When I first came to college, I was stepping into a world full of unknowns. Without familiar faces by my side, I was desperate to quickly find those “forever friends” I heard everyone rave about. I held on tight to the common phrase, “college will be the best four years of your life, just wait!” With that in mind, I was ready to meet my people and feel the genuine love I had been seeking for quite some time.

So, I waited.

I waited around for a whole semester to find those people. When it didn’t come to me in a few weeks and months, the worry set in. I started to panic and question where I was in my life as I observed others quickly finding their place. Little did I know that as spring semester approached, many opportunities would arise for me to meet the people God had set aside for me.

Everything started to fall into place when I accepted a bid from Chi Omega. Days and weeks passed as I started to meet the most wonderful and admirable women I had only dreamed to call my friends. Staying up late and sharing life stories seemed to be on my weekly agenda. I finally started feeling that genuine love I had been craving from the people who I would soon realize are MY people.

As every day passes, I am reminded of how lucky I am to be a Baylor Chi Omega. The relationships that have begun from this sisterhood are truly remarkable, and the joy from my sisters can get me through even the worst days. I could not thank this chapter enough for bringing me my forever friends.
